The sun is shining so bright. Its scorching heat etched a feeling of discomfort as we rode a jeepney going to Fuente Osmena. ‘Twas 7:30 early morning as we headed to a 24/7 bar in the city.
Voila! Open space greeted us with arms wide open. Only one table was occupied by a goup of five. They were having so much fun drinking iced-cold red horse while singing their lungs out.
The sales girl gave us a table near the entrance. She was so accommodating. She was petite, a little skinny and her colored mirrored a typical Filipina.
Un… duex.. troi.. Empty bottles of red horse tumbling down as we enjoyed singing. The guys on the other table were so cool that they joined us having fun. They even losen up their booties and danced in the own version of Boyfriend’s “sumayaw, sumunod.” It felt like I was a real entertainer for that day.. Sounds like a dream come true, I thought!
They left. We continued to savor the taste of mighty red horse. But this time it tasted like a bottled water. perhaps we were just intoxicated already.
Things went so fast. I opened my eyes in a dimly lit room. The blue light was enough to lit the entire room. It was so romantic. Kenny G’s music playing on the background really set the right mood.
I saw a barely naked soul lying in the bed. She was so beautiful. Her curly hair fitted perfectly unto her face, a manifestation of God’s perfection.
Oh! How I long to caress her fair skin, to kiss her lips and touch her curly hairs and entire being. Meanwhile, Kenny G’s saxophone keeps on playing.
Then I caught myself in tears. She cried too. I heard her saying ” I don’t wanna hurt nobody.” I knew exactly what she meant. Then she kissed me in my nape and walked out the door.. she left…
Then the music stopped… I woke up with the loud knock on my door…..
